Palm Springs Pride 5K Run & Walk

Join us on Saturday, November 4, 2023

Our Event

The Palm Springs Pride 5K Run & Walk brings together runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to raise funds for local LGBTQ+ organizations and promote inclusivity in our community and sports. The annual event is proudly hosted by Palm Springs Front Runners & Walkers, a local chapter of International Frontrunners, an informal network of LGBTQ running groups around the world. As the race organizer, we are committed to helping provide much needed services to the diverse LGBTQ+ community of which we are a part.

Since 2016, the Palm Springs Pride 5K Run & Walk has raised over $150,000 for local charities serving the LGBTQ+ community, including The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert, Transgender Health and Wellness Center, Brothers of the Desert, Safe Schools Desert Cities, and Greater Palm Springs Pride.

This year we continue our commitment community through our beneficiaries, The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert and Transgender Health and Wellness Center. In addition, we are helping to keep Coachella Valley's longest-running LGBTQ parade and festival FREE for all to enjoy through our donation to Greater Palm Springs Pride.

The Palm Springs Pride 5K Run & Walk is part of a weekend of activities celebrating Greater Palm Springs Pride! For a full list of weekend events and activities go to pspride.org.

THE COURSE

The run and walk takes place in the beautiful and historic neighborhood of Old Las Palmas, once home to many Hollywood celebrities. The beautiful, mostly flat, out-and-back course is on paved streets. There will be volunteers on the course to cheer you on and keep you moving in the right direction. Click to see the course map.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP

Register

There is no registration on race morning, so please register in advance.

Please note: You can make an additional donation to our beneficiaries during online registration. However, if you would like to donate $50 or more, use the DONATE button below to avoid pesky processing fees.

Advance packet pickup is Friday, November 3rd from noon-4 PM at The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert at 1301 N Palm Canyon Dr, Palm Springs.

Race day packet pickup starts at 7 AM on November 4th, at W Chino Drive @ Belardo Road.

All online registrants get a t-shirt with their race packet. T-shirts are only reserved for pre-registrants, so please register early to make sure you get yours. Due to a surge in late registrations, some shirt sizes are limited.

Teams

Take your race experience to the next level by running with co-workers, classmates, friends, or family. Anyone can join or create a team and there is no minimum or maximum number required. Friendly competition and crazy costumes encouraged! Create or join a team when you register. Team captains will be notified when someone joins their team. Awards will be given to the teams with the most participants and the craziest costumes.

Virtual Participants

If you can't be here in person, you can participate virtually! Complete a 5K run or walk anytime between November 3-5, and share your photos on social media with #pspriderun. Due to mailing costs, we are unable to send t-shirts or medals to virtual participants.

RESULTS & AWARDS

A timing chip is attached to your race bib, so wear it throughout the race, keeping it visible and unobstructed.

Results are emailed shortly after the race and updated on our website. The top male, female, and non-binary finishers get an award. We also offer age group medals for top finishers in the following categories: Under 15, 16-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING

The race starts and ends on W Chino Drive @ Belardo Road.

There is ample street parking near the starting area, most conveniently on Belardo Road south of Alejo Road. This event takes place during Pride Weekend so there may be road closures in the downtown area. Carpooling or ride-sharing is encouraged.
